Clearing a blocked drain - so bad that no water could flow through it.

I rent a property in Surbiton and tenants reported to me that whenever they emptied the sink, none of the water actually went down the drain as it was so clogged and just overflowed into the front garden. Spent about two hours Jetting our drains after a backed up toliet. They used a camera.
